A. H. Littlejohn & his Feist Ruby

This is a picture of my father A. H. Littlejohn (1910/1998). The older I get the more I realize how fortunate I was to have such a fine influence in my life. He was devoted to his family and instilled strong values into each of his children. We were so lucky to have his guiding hand.

Below is A. H. Littlejohn (aka "Papa") holding one of his favorite Feist squirrel dogs "Ruby". This photo is circa 1930's. Papa raised several Feist during the 1930's & 1940's. These dogs helped feed the family during the Great Depresion. He remain an avid outdoorsman all his life. One of the best shots I've ever know with an open sight 22 rifle or with his shotgun he call "Ol Canzer"...a 30 inch, full choke, 12 guage Nitro Hunter that he bought new for $12.50. From the time I can remember, I'd crawl up in his lap at night and he would tell me hunt'n stories...some about his squirrel hunting adventures with "Ruby" and other stories about him an "Ol Canzer". Needless to say, I don't have Papa around any more, but I do have "Ol Canzer" and the wonderful memories he left me.
